Ballet Master

ELIZABETH BOEHNLEIN Ms. Boehnlein began her training with Shely Pack and competed in Dance Master National Conventions in New Orleans and New York City.  She continued her training at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and Philandanco.  She trained in Vaganova ballet with Evee Lynn in NYC for many years.   Ms Boehnlein performed with Philadanco II, the Kennedy Dancers, Red Bank Ballet, Klixbull Dance Company, Georgetown Ballet, and the Dance Vista television series.  In 1996, she opened the Dance Academy of Loudoun and it has grown over the years and now includes Leesburg Civic Ballet, Precollege Dance Program and a Commercial Contemporary Company.

IGOR SAPOTKO A native of Minsk, Belarus, Mr. Sapotko trained at the Belarus National Choreographic Academy.  Among his teachers was Alexander Kolidenko, who was a student of the great ballet master, Pushkin.  His dancing experience includes the National Theatre of Belarus, the Moscow Festival Ballet, and the Bolshoi Theatre- Grigorovich Ballet.  Since coming to the U.S. in 1995, Mr. Sapotko has danced with the Sacramento Ballet, the Washington Ballet, and the Milwaukee Ballet.  He joined Manassas Ballet Theatre in September 2000.   He has been teaching for DAL for many years.
